Conrexx Technology B.V. / RITEK Europe (NL) were kind enough to send us some of their latest media '“ the Traxdata DVD-R DL 4x, before the official European release. And in this article we are going to take a look at this media and test its performance with various DVD-R DL writers and also test the media compatibility with DVD standalone devices and other PC DVD devices.

The Traxdata Story

2001
RITEK Corporation decides to market the Traxdata brand throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Conrexx Technology B.V. (RITEK Europe) is given exclusive rights to distribute products under the Traxdata brand name throughout this region. The product portfolio consists of CD and DVD media and accessories.

2002
Flash memory products and compatible ink cartridges are added to the Traxdata portfolio and Traxdata introduces the Your Digital Life! concept. From now on, the Traxdata portfolio is focused on offering customers all the products they would need to live their digital life to the full.

November sees Traxdata become the first brand in Europe to market DVD-R 4X media.

2003 
Traxdata starts to become one of the leading brands in CD and DVD media and as a RITEK brand Traxdata benefits from the Research & Development being conducted by the largest manufacturer of optical storage media in the world.

December sees Traxdata make an incredible technology leap by introducing DVD+R 8x media enabling consumers to record at speeds twice as fast as ever before. The brand leaves competitors behind in the race to meet consumer demands.

2004
Traxdata is now positioned as the World Leader in Quality, Technology and Innovation. The brand is the first to bring breakthrough technology to the market and the first to offer consumers DVD-R 8x, DVD-R 16x, DVD+R 16x and DVD+R Double Layer media.
 
Traxdata also expands its Flash Memory Range as it introduces high capacity CompactFlash™, SecureDigital™ and MultiMediaCard™ memory cards together with a range of card readers, MP3 players and the innovative and groundbreaking EZ Drive 2.0 USB storage device.

2005
Traxdata starts the year with a bang by launching its totally revamped multi-language website where visitors can find all the latest information on the entire Traxdata product range. This launch marks the start of a year in which Traxdata is determined to maintain the brand reputation as a leader in the media storage industry. Watch this space as further groundbreaking and 'first-to-market' products are launched.
