YOLO card comes with up to 10% cashback for your online spending and up to 8% cashback on weekend entertainment and dining. Furthermore, the YOLO card comes with up to 3% cashback on online fashion and spending on travel, weekday Grab, and weekday travel spend, without online and flight-only bookings. Lastly, the YOLO card comes with 0.3% cashback on all the other spending. 


For example, if you spend $100 on weekend Grab spend, you receive 8% cashback, or $8. For any weekday activities, including Grab, dining, and entertainment, you receive 3% cashback. 

Apart from financial rewards, the YOLO card comes with innovative features. The improved design features a 16-digit card number that is stacked on four different rows. This allows you to read it quicker and make faster online and phone transactions. 

Another great highlight of the card is that you can pay with your mobile phone at more than 10,000 store terminals. Lastly, UOB will keep all of your credit card statements for five years in an electronic format. 

It is essential to keep in mind that the cashback has a cap at $60 per month and is not applicable for essential spending, such as bills, groceries, petrol, and others. Here is a short breakdown of the cashback for the various reward rates.

Fees and Rates

In order to benefit from the features above, you need to spend a minimum of $600 per month. Furthermore, the card comes with an annual fee of $192.60, but this amount is waived in the first year. This means that, after one year, your card fee will be, on average, $16 per month. Due to the cashback promotion, you can easily recoup it. Additionally, if you apply for a supplementary card, this is free for life, while the second card is only $96.30. 

How to Apply

To be eligible, you need to be a minimum of 21 years old and have a minimum annual income of $40,000 or a fixed deposit collateral of more than $10,000. The application process can be completed here, and it can be approved instantly if you apply between 7 am and 8 pm, or the next working day for other periods. 

To register for cashback, you need to send a YOLO10 SMS, along with the bank-registered phone number to 77862. You are eligible only if your new card was approved anytime between 16 March and 30 June 2020. Another criterion is to spend a minimum of $600 in the first 30 days.
