Last week it became known that the company GrayShift claimed it had developed a device that could be used to unlock the latest iPhones. Little was known about the device, but Malwarebytes received information from an anonymous source which it shares on its website.
Samsung has lost a severe amount of NAND memory wafers during a brief power outage in a NAND flash plant from the Korean chip giant. On the 9th of March this year, the fab in Pyeongtaek, South Korea, lost power for about 30 minutes. It's estimated that the incident will affect 3.5% of global NAND flash supply in March.
Nearly all worldwide received spam in the last quarter of 2017 was sent by two botnets, according to antivirus vendor McAfee in a report. The botnets are called Necurs and Gamut, and can be rented by cyber criminals to sent out Spam, phishing mails, ransomware and other types of malware.
Microsoft today reports it has noticed an increase of attacks involving cryptominers, while the number of ransomware infections has decreased. From September last year, till January this year, the software giant detected an average of 644,000 Windows computers each month that encountered a cryptocurrency miner.
Arusoft has posted a message on our forum stating their Ultra HD Blu-ray ripping software DeUHD won't work when Windows Update KB4088875 is installed. The update is part of Microsoft's Patch Tuesday of March that was released two days ago.
