Arusoft today released an update of its 4K / Ultra HD Blu-ray (UHD BD) ripping software, DeUHD. The update makes it possible to rip UHD BD movies protected with the latest AACS revision, AACS 2.1. This new version of the UHD BD copy protection has been designed to track the player that was used to rip/decrypt the movie.
There are reports of a new type of copy protection that shows a black screen with a copyright notice several minutes into the movie. The timing of the appearance of these messages is interesting, as also a new AACS revision emerged last month.
A new setting allows Google users to disable specific factors which the company uses to decide which personalized advertisements it shows. The setting comes available on the page for advertising settings, the search giant today reveals on its blog. Google will also start to explain why users see specific ads.
Intel warns for a new vulnerability in Intel Core processors that can provide attackers access to sensitive data like cryptographic keys. Toshiba today announced its new mainstream NVMe SSDs in the OCZ RC100 series. The drives feature Toshiba's latest 64-layer BiCS 3D TLC NAND flash memory and will be available in capacities of 120GB, 240GB and 480GB.
