AllofMP3 users with credit can download from allTunes

For the unlucky six or so million people who still have credit on Allofmp3 or worse still managed to fund their account just prior to the website closure, they will be happy to know that their accounts can be used on the allTunes softare client.  Many users of the former Allofmp3 website have either used the allTunes client or at least heard about it.  It ties into the same backend library and user accounts as Allofmp3 did.  The allTunes client is nothing new, since it was made available a few years ago.  If someone purchased music on Allofmp3 and did not download their purchases from they website, as long as they had the allTunes client running, it would download the purchased tracks instead.

According to this Computerworld report, the allTunes software downloads the catalogue to the PC, which means that searches can be performed quicker than on the former Allofmp3 website.  While allTunes appears to be no more than a client version of the allofmp3 website, what is interesting is that its website homepage claims to accept Visa and Master Card, something that allofmp3 no longer accepted when both credit card companies cut off their services with the website last year.

However, with how quickly MP3Sparks went down following Allofmp3's closure, it is unclear how much longer allTunes will remain up for.  Its pricing scheme and controversial licensing appears to be identical to the former Allofmp3.

Thanks to DamnedIfIknow for letting us know about this news.  This user added:  Get it before they shut it down like MP3Sparks.com!
