Amazon makes Blu-ray 'the' HD-format

After announcing a new price drop every week, and following the format war for years, now Amazon officially responds to the most recent happenings of the format war. Blu-ray is dubbed 'the remaining high-definition disc format', in a recent blogposting on Amazon.com.

The online retailer also says that future availability of HD DVD is unknown, although some think they stop on the 31st of May when Warner will officially stop producing Toshiba's format. Besides explaining what happend to HD DVD, Amazon thinks that now is the time for some to step in.

Within the upcoming days the retailer will be updating its High-Def 101 page with the latest information on the high definition player landscape... So, will they start doing CDFreaks' work now? 😉
