After Teac, also Asus has released information on their 52x drive. This drive uses the CAV write strategy and features FlextraLink to prevent buffer under runs and FlextraSpeed (Optimal Writing Speed Adjustment Technology).
The drive supports Mount Rainier is able to do DAE at a maximum of 52x. The drive should be able to write a 650 MB CD-R in less then 2.5 minutes.
