Australian computer software prices 'too high'

"Computer software prices are high compared with the US and UK" an Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) statement said.

The ACCC recently updated a report released to the federal government in 1999 called 'Potential Consumer Bneefits of Repealing the Importation Provisions of the Copyright Act 1968'.

"Devotees of popular PC games pay around 20 percent more than in the United Kingdom and 5 percent more than New Zealand," the report said.

Did they really had to investigate this? Like I don't know software prices are to high

However in Australia they do pay around 20 percent more for popular PC games (comparing to UK)
