Bollywood chooses HD to cut costs (updated)

According to a news published at The Inquirer, Bollywood released the first High Definition movie in the HD format, claiming that this will cut costs.

As reported by the film's photography director:

"The entire film has been shot on video format and everything done on the camera itself. You can see the colour and quality of the film has been adjusted on the camera thus minimizing the need for retakes."

So, even if High-end video camera is an expensive piece of hardware, it will allow a significant cost reduction to produce Hi Definition movies.

News coordinator update:  This article has been corrected to mention that Bollywood chose HD as in High Definition and not the HD DVD next generation disc format as originally mentioned.  We appologise for this mistake.
