CD Freaks presents: MSI DR8-A2 DVD+/-R/RW review

MSI is
one of the leading mainboard manufacturers and has also added optical storage
drives to their product range. Of course we wanted to know wheter this
manufacturer succeeded in making a quality product and we now published a review on this drive.
The drive writes DVD-R and DVD+R discs at 8x, DVD-RW and DVD+RW at 4 speed,
CD-Rs at 40x, CD-RWw at 24x and reads back DVD-ROMs at 12x and CD-ROMs at
40x.

Part of
conclusion:

Overall the drive has it positive points, but
the writing quality is not up to what we expect from a DVD-Writer, let us
group the most negative and most positive points
together.

The main positive points:
The drive did not have any problems reading any of our discs and
shows good audio reading abilities too. It's also a good CD-R writer as
the speed is good and the produced discs have good quality. It's also a
good reader for protected audio discs and supports credit card and 8cm
sized CD-R discs.

If you are intrested in more positive points and you'd
like to know what negative points this drive has then head over to our review. Discuss this
drive in our Recording
