CD Freaks presents Mad Dog MD-16XDVD9 recorder review

We have
added a new review to our review database today as Wesociety, our Club CD Freaks Moderator, has
taken a look at the Mad Dog MD-16XDVD9 recorder. The Mad Dog recorder is actually a
rebadged NEC ND-3500A recorder and thus it supports the same ultra-fast
recording speeds of 16x DVD±R, 4x DVD±RW and 4x DVD+R DL. Here's part of the
conclusion:

Mad DogThe Mad Dog MD-16XDVD9 has some very strong
positive points, as well as some negative ones. Let us detail and discuss
the positive and negative points of this drive.

The main positive
points
: Bitsetting support is
definitely a positive feature and will help to produce discs that are
compatible with a wide range of playback devices. We also really liked the
ability to read DVD±R discs and data DVD-ROM discs at 16X speed. CD-R
writing quality and speed was excellent on the discs that we tested. The
writing quality on most DVD±R/RW discs is very good. We also appreciate
the support for burning some 8X DVD±R discs at 16X, as well as some 4X
DVD±R discs at 8X speeds; all with very good quality. The DVD+R9 DL
support and writing abilities are excellent. The drive made very good
quality DL discs that played back perfectly on all of our standalone
players. The drive is also quieter at 16X than some other drives we have
tested with.

points were? You'll have to check out the complete review here. Feedback, as
always, is more than welcome. You can place your reaction on the review itself
