CD Freaks takes a first look at Labelflash™

The European Review Team has outdone themselves this time as JanS and Dee-27 have managed to get the opportunity to share with us a first look at the very new Labelflash direct media labeling system. This is another method of using a (very strong) laser to create images on the media, similar to the LightScribe technique. One difference though, apparently Labelflash allows labeling of the data side! Another is that the results of the labeling are not the familiar sepia look as we have seen with LightScribe. In this review or really, a first look, they have gotten hold of some of the FujiFilm Labelflash media and they will use the NEC ND-4551A DVD burner to perform the procedure.

Sorry, I wont post a picture of the labeled media from the test...you will just have to visit the review to see them. 😉 I hope that you are curious enough to check!  Also, many thanks to NEC, Yamaha and Fuji Photo Film for the opportunity that allows us to share this technology with you today. By the way, lets all give Dee-27 and JanS a big hand for the background work they did on this project, making it possible for us CD Freaks to see this process and ask questions about it. The best way to do that is to visit the forum thread that is dedicated to this subject.
