CNET reviews 12x CDRW drives.

CNET has 2 intresting 12x CDRW drive reviews.

The latest crop of CD-RW drives jumps to 12X CD-recording speeds, pushing the envelope just a little further, though CD-rewrite speeds remain at 4X. These new drives give you the practicality of CD-RW and the speed of CD-R. Of course, because it's a new technology you'll pay a premium price. Is the speed boost worth the extra cost, or should you stick with your old drive for a while longer?
We took a peek at the first of these new CD-RW drives. They burn CD-RW discs at 4X speed, with 12X speed for CD-R and 32X CD-ROM playback. They interface via SCSI, which means you need an adapter. The drives also come with enough software--some of which is exceptional--to do any CD-related job you have in mind. Sounds like a great deal, but don't rush out to buy one just yet. Depending on your needs, these CD-RW drives could be a burning success, or just a burn. Read on to see what we thought.
