Marshall Electronics Introduces USB Mic Software That Turns Computers into an Instant Professional Recorder

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MXL Microphones, the professional audio division of Marshall Electronics, is pleased to announce the introduction of the MXL USB RECORDER, an instant recording software for our new series of Gold Diaphragm USB Studio Mics.

The new software is designed to simulate a 2-track analog or digital recorder (DAT) for true CD and high fidelity quality recording on a portable or desktop P.C. The new software doesn't require any special set-up; it's just a matter of pushing record and play.

In addition to getting high quality sound in the home studio, it's also a very exciting tool for podcasting multimedia, news and broadcast applications using portable computers for field recording of concerts, lectures, or even documenting outdoor sounds in full fidelity for film and TV backgrounds.

The software always displays the input and output devices so the user can easily monitor their hardware. The software is always fixed at 44.1/16 bit mono or stereo which shows on the recording menu. A Tape Loop makes it convenient to continually replay a marked selection or play a particular segment for multimedia or presentation.

The audio is saved as a WAV file so it can be used on all computers and can easily be recorded to CD through any audio CD burning software.

MXL USB microphone and software products are designed to easily capture the world of Hi Fidelity sound through the computer without the need of complicated studio equipment and complicated software that just takes too long for the average user to adjust.

The new instant software matches perfectly with the MXL USB .006 Studio Condenser Microphone which features a large gold diaphragm, low noise analog input circuitry and a 3-position analog gain control. The digital section features a 16 bit Delta Sigma A/D converter with a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz. A USB indicator light shows the mic is active and ready to record.

The software can be downloaded Free from the MXL web site: www.mxl-usb.com

The MXL USB.006 mic will carry a retail MSRP of $169.95.
