When I go and buy the board game Monopoly (no pun intended), am I required to make sure that everyone who plays the game has their own copy first? I didn't think so. If there is anyone who works in the industry who is willing to speak up and help "clear the air", then please do so as we are happy to post it.

As we all know, game manufactures are "copy protecting" all of their new games that make them "unburnable" by today's end-user CDR/CDRW drives. Umm, excuse me? Isn't it the end-users right to be able to make a backup copy of the software they legitimately own while installed on one machine at a time? For example, when my kids want to play a game, wouldn't it make more sense to let them use the CDR version instead of risking them scratching up the original? Oh, that's right, for a measly "shipping charge" of usually anywhere between $10.00 to $20.00, the companies, in most cases, will ship you out a replacement. What kind of rip-off scheme is this anyway? I shouldn't HAVE to pay their rip-off "shipping charges".
