StreamCast Networks Inc. says the new Morpheus Preview Edition has been downloaded more than 24 million times in nine days, pushing the total downloads for Morpheus to nearly 80 million since its introduction last April. |
The 80 million downloads makes Morpheus the most popular peer-to-peer program in the world, Franklin-based StreamCast says.
"We are ecstatic that so many people have downloaded the Morpheus Preview Edition," Steve Griffin, chairman and CEO StreamCast, said in a release. "This is a true indicator that P2P technology is here to stay and we are honored to be a part of this great evolution in the way people communicate directly."
