Nero v6.3.1.25 adds support for bitsetting on PX-712A *updated*

For many CD Freaks visitors the Plextor brand is magic. Considered as the king of quality and top notch, users expect nothing but the best from this Japanese company. A lot of users were dissapointed when they found out that current Plextor drives did not support this feature. But apparently the latest Nero update has changed this and users on our forum report that they are able to set the bitsetting with Nero 6.3.1.25 and their Plextor PX-712A. When going to the advanced settings when burning a DVD+R discs you will find a drop down list from which you can pick the required setting.

For many users this is great news as it improves the compatibility of their DVD+R discs with many DVD players. If you would like to read more information about the booktype changing (bitsetting) then read here. If you would like download the latest Nero version then go over here and of course discussions about this improvement can be found in our Plextor Forum.

Update:

LIGHTNING UK! (author of the DVD Decrypter software) reports that his software will also support bitsetting on
the Plextor PX-712A drive.
