As you may know Samsung has now a joint venture with Toshiba called Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology (TSST) which explains the new model naming scheme. While Samsung's 8x DVD writer, the SH-W08A, looks like a Toshiba drive too Samsung's new writers will however have a look similar to its combo and CD writers. More information about the TS-H542A and the TS-H552B is available here.
