Smart Bitrate Control has gone public

Smart Bitrate Control is a new way to encode DiVX files and has been developed by VCDFault.
Their package is called Nandub and if you want more info, then read below

What is Nandub ?

Nandub is a software designed for encoding DivX 😉 compressed AVI files, using the state of the art technology called Smart Bitrate Control. It is not designed to be a general AVI editing tool. In this regard, it has nothing to do with its 'ancestor', VirtualDub.

As of now, Nandub has following features:

* it inserts KFs w/o codec reset,

* it changes the codec's bitrate on the fly, at each frame

(if necessary), w/o codec reset,

* it manipulates many internal parameters of the codec while it's running which completely bypasses the static compression limitations usually used in vanilla LM/FM, therefore the encoding process does not use "Low Motion" and "High Motion" DivX codec but instead transforms the codec parameters into what is best for the particular scene,

* and it has an accurate motion detection algorythm.

* motion-based compression control/modulation

* motion-based crispness control/modulation
