Sony launches new, mp3 supporting network Walkman with 1GB built-in memory

Sony today announces the launch of 2 new Network WALKMAN models. Available from the end of November, the NW-E95 and NW-E99 will be competitively priced and will allow consumers the freedom to transfer ATRAC3plus and MP3 files.

Both of the new models are loaded with built-in memory '“ 512MB and 1GB respectively. They will offer music lovers the ability to store up to 23 CD's on the NW-E95, and up to 46 CD's on the NW-E99 when they use ATRAC3plus compression format.

These 2 devices feature 70 hours of battery life, and weigh in at a mere 40 grams. They also include funky neck straps making them the perfect partner for music on the move.

Today, we are introducing two new models, with high capacity, competitively priced and with direct MP3 compatibility, which we believe will further develop the credibility of the WALKMAN brand in the Personal Network Audio Market."

 

The NW-E95 and NW-E99 are the latest additions to Sony's Network WALKMAN family. Other models in the range include the NW-E55 and NW-E75. From the end of October lucky owners of the NW-E55 and NW-E75 will be able to download software from the Internet, which enables these WALKMAN to play MP3 tracks directly, in addition to ATRAC3plus compressed music.

 

Whatever WALKMAN you choose, be sure to log onto Sony's digital music site 'CONNECT' which gives you access to over 300,000 downloadable unique tracks from both major and independent labels. And with all the products in the Network WALKMAN range having a backlit LCD screen, you can enjoy your music at any time of day or night.
