ADATA launches SP910 2.5” and SP900 M.2 SSDs

Adata three new SATA-3  SSDs, the Premier Pro SP900 M.2 2242 and 2280 targeted for usage in Ultrabooks and desktop PCs and Premier Pro SP910 targeted at gamers and video editors.

Adata claims the  Premier Pro SP900 M.2 2422 and 2280 are the latest and smallest SSDs on the market (22x42mm and 22x80mm, respectively), which meet the Intel M.2 standard. These two M.2 SSDs are smaller than the typical 2.5” and mSATA SSD and come in capacities of 128, 256 and 512GB. The Premier Pro SP900 M.2 2422 and 2280 are not only suitable for Ultrabooks, but also for PC upgrades using the next generation of motherboards.

Featuring the LSI SF-2281 controller, the sequential read/write speed of the SP900 M.2 2242 and 2280 are up to 550/530 MB/s.  The drives also support Intel Smart Response Technology, which automatically identifies the data and applications most often used, speeding up the data transfer rate. Additionally the SP900 M.2 2242 and 2280 support DVESLP (Device Sleep) to save more power for longer battery life.

With the Marvell controller 88SS9187, the Premier Pro SP910 offers sequential read/write speeds up to 560/460 MB/s, and 4KB random read/write speeds up to 91,000/77,000 IOPS.

The drive has built-in ECC (Error Code Correction) technology (up to 128bits/2KB) to improve the reliability of data transfer. The Premier Pro SP910's is available in capacitiesof 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and  1TB.  The SP910 has an 7mm body and is bundled with 2.5mm spacer and 3.5” converter, making the SP910 is compatible with 9.5mm applications and traditional mechanical drive bays.

The “SSD Toolbox” helps users to access more information about the SSD and quick system settings for stability and long life expectancy, and the “Acronis True Image HD” helps to transfer files to the new SSD rapidly.
