Arusoft today released version 1.02.9 of their Ultra HD Blu-ray ripping tool DeUHD. The changelog reveals that the developers have worked on speeding up the UHD Blu-ray ripping process. Also an issue with the installation of DeUHD on Windows 10 has been fixed.
For months the changelog of DeUHD was largely the same, Arusoft reported it added support for more movies. This week's changelog is different, the Russian company fixed an issue with installing DeUHD on Windows 10 that was already going on for a while. Some users reported they were unable to install DeUHD on their Windows 10 system. In a post on our forums, Arusoft confirmed the issue, but stated the issue was caused by updates released by Microsoft.
Nevertheless, the company today reports it found a solution for those users. User DrinkLyeAndDie confirms the could indeed install DeUHD on Windows 10, but isn't happy with the solution as he writes, "DeUHD will work but requires that Secure Boot is disabled. That’s a non-starter for me and that should be better clarified in the release notes. In short, if Secure Boot is disabled DeUHD will now run. Otherwise, the driver won’t load, my ODDs are blown up as a result, etc."
DrinkLyeAndDie also asked Arusoft whether they work on an update that makes it possible to install DeUHD when SecureBoot is enabled. Unfortunately, Arusoft has not responded to his question yet.
The DeUHD changelog of today also states that Arusoft has, "largely increased ripping speed". Apparently the developers have found a way to shorten the time DeUHD requires to rip Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. We haven't received any benchmarks yet, so we encourage anyone who used DeUHD 1.0.2.9 to rip Ultra HD Blu-ray discs to post their benchmarks in our DeUHD Forum.
Besides the fix for the installation issues on Windows 10 and the ripping speed improvement, Arusoft also added (additional) support for eight movie titles including, Die Hard, Gladiator (2000), King Kong, La La Land, Marvel's Black Panther and The Martian.
