The German antivirus test organisation AV-Test.org has published a list of the best virus scanners of 2014. Last year AV-Test tested many tests of both Windows as Android scanners. In case of the Windows virus scanners and internet security suites both personal and corporate scanners were tested.
The best consumer virusscanner of 2014 is Trend Micro, according to AV-Test. The suite of Kaspersky Lab received the award for the best performance, while Avira Antivirus Pro was the virusscanner won the award of antivirus product with the best usability.
F-Secure is the best corporate antivirus scanner, while Bitdefender was awarded the best performing corporate antivirus product. When it comes to usability of corporate scanners, Sophos was the best in 2014.
Qihoo 360 AntiVirus and Cheetah Mobile Clean Master were awarded the best Android antivirus products. AV-Test also picked the best removal tool for Windows which can be used after a computer has been infected. In this category two products won an award, the Kaspersky Removal Tool and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free.
