Chinese Smartisan R1 phone is available with 1TB of flash memory storage

A Chinese manufacturer of mobile phones named Smartisan, has announced a smartphone of which the top model has a storage capacity of 1TB. Also variants with capacities of 64GB and 128GB are available. The 128GB and 1TB version are available with 8GB of RAM.

The Smartisan R1 is powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC and has a 6.2” display with a resolution of 2242×1080 pixels. On the back it has two cameras, one with a resolution of 12MP and one with a resolution of 20MP. The front camera has a resolution of 24MP. The phone has support for Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC+eSE, and has a USB-C port with DisplayPort 1.4. Smartisan has ditched the audio jack and the phone also isn’t waterproof.

It does have support for two sim cards (dual sim) and the phone has a battery of 3600mAh that can be charged both wireless and wired. Wired charging supports Quick Charge 4+. Smartisan ships the phone with a customized Android version that the company calls Smartisan OS 6.0

The cheapest model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage costs 3499 yuan ($550), the most expensive model with 8GB RAM and 1TB store costs 8848 yuan ($1390).

The Smartisan R1 is available in both black and whites and available for purchase on the official site and also on JD.com. Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-C cable, a Quick Charge 4+ charger, a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter, and a SIM ejector tool.
