ExaGrid Wins Backup Storage Innovation Of The Year Award

Intelligent backup storage provider ExaGrid recently received recognition as the “Backup Storage Innovation of the Year” in the recently concluded Storage, Digitalization + Cloud (SDC) Awards 2019, reported BusinessWire. Formerly known as the Angel Business Communications’ IT Awards, the SDC Awards seek to distinguish companies that offer innovative products and services essential in digital transformation.

ExaGrid won the award in light of its EX Series appliances, a series of systems that offer backup storage complete with data deduplication. The winner was determined through a vote in which customers and resellers sent in their opinion.

CEO and President Bill Andrews expressed gratitude in receiving the award, as well as for the support of customers, partners, and resellers. According to Andrews, ExaGrid developed the EX Series to provide a solution for the “strain” caused by data growth. Specifically, the company sought to address the need for backup storage in view of the growing data that many organizations need to manage, store and process.

He emphasized that the firm helps cope with three of the most pressing issues in data management namely “how to quickly protect and manage growing data, how to recover data as quickly as possible and how to do so at the lowest cost.”

Aside from its award-winning product and service, the firm also works with other types of backup technology including private and public cloud storage and computing, offsite data centers, third-party data centers, and third-party clouds. It also supports pure hybrid setups.

The company is also known for supporting other applications and utilities including Veeam, Commvault, IBM Spectrum Protect, and Acronis. This allows ExaGrid customers to utilize a wide variety of technologies in order to support their own infrastructures.
