Users that want to play games like Fifa, Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefield will have to stay with their family during Christmas Eve. Game publisher EA reports on Twitter that its servers suffer from an outage.
When users login they see an error message. EA is currently working on a solution but hasn't mentioned when it expects the servers to become available again.
The company also hasn't disclosed what causes the outage. The hackers of Phantom Group recently announced they were planning to take down a large game service during Christmas Eve. Whether the hacker group is actually behind the currently EA outage is unclear.
