Chrome follows with 21% and Opera takes the third place with 16% of the votes. Safari was fourth with 9% and the Tor browser was selected by 6% of the respondents. Internet Explorer received only half of those votes, the browser was selected as most trustworthy browser by only 3% of the voters.

Interesting is that 27% of the respondents selected they browse with Firefox, while 41% consider the browser to be most trustworthy. For Chrome it's the opposite, 41% uses the browser, but 21%
considers the browser to be the most trustworthy.

Of the respondents 12% stated to browse with Internet Explorer, but only 3% considered it to be the most trustworthy browser. According to Sophos the difference between Internet Explorer usage and the trust users have in it is caused because many large companies require their employees to use the browser at work.

It's the third time in a row Firefox is voted as most trustworthy browser but during this period the number of users declined in favor of Chrome. "Perhaps Firefox users are just more willing to fill in online polls or maybe we're just learning to live with software we don't trust", according to Sophos.
