G2A compensates users from which Ubisoft revoked their paid license key

G2A.com has posted a message stating it will compensate users who lost their license key because it was banned by Ubisoft. The game studio started revoking license keys that were sold by unofficial retailers earlier this week.

In a Facebook post, G2A writes that the company "will do everything possible" to compensate the affected customers. Customers that purchased a license key through G2A Shield will for sure get a new key or their money back, for other customers G2A will decide on a case-by-case basis.

Yesterday Ubisoft revoked keys from gamers who bought them through grey market retailers like G2A. These retailers buy license keys in countries where the price is lower and sell them in countries where the license keys are sold for more by official retailers. Gamers are angry, because due to Ubisoft's  measures they are unable to play the games for which they did pay.

The game studio claims it regularly deletes license keys that have been obtained through unofficial channels and that have been resold. So far Ubisoft hasn't given a substantive answer but told gamers on Twitter to contact the seller of the license keys for a solution.
