The forum of the popular torrent software uTorrent has been hacked, the hackers likely obtained login data of hundreds of thousands forum users. The uTorrent forums are used to discuss new features and to report bugs but isn't used to distribute torrents.
The uTorrent forum has more than 380,000 members and is powered by Invision Power Board. The hack was likely performed because of a leak in that software. Torrentfreak reports that users of the uTorrent forums are advised to change their password, despite that the passwords were properly encrypted.
It's unclear whether the vulnerability in Invision Power Board also resulted in other hacked forums.
