'HBO hacker obtained much more data than previously thought'

Hackers who recently hacked pay television service HBO, have possibly stolen more information than previously thought. A security company hired by HBO has discovered that thousands of internal documents have been obtained.

The hackers reportedly obtained documents, photos, videos and audio files, Variety writes. Besides that, they also stole personal information about the CEO of HBO and they were possibly able to hack his business email account.

Some of the stolen personal information was also published online and contained passwords of online accounts and banking data of the CEO.

Previously the hackers claimed to have obtained 1.5 Terabyte of data from the broadcaster and they also published a script of one episode of Game of Thrones on the internet. They also published not broadcasted episodes of Ballers, Room 104 and a new series called Barry that is scheduled for release in 2018.

The motive of the hackers is unknown, according to HBO they haven't demanded any ransom.
