don't shoot the messenger, I'm just relaying information that was offered to us.
We got a mail today from XTN Data, which is a research consultancy. It
seems that they very quickly gathered some data in January 2006,
that among other things delves into the downloading habits of 1,000 music
fans. It looks like iPod owners are a different breed than the rest of us 52
million scofflaws out there.

Of course this is not conclusive evidence, but it is
still interesting to note and discuss. Frankly, it is a mystery as to why other
Mp3 player owners still use P2P while the iPod folks don't. Lack of a
mainstream music service? The study is a very well laid out report and a
pleasant to read download. The four page portion offered is free and you need
not give personal info such as an email address to get it, which is nice. But,
if you need to see all the statistics, then there is a charge. But no
matter, because here is a quite a bit of the free iPod people stuff for us to
ponder, the gender thing is quite interesting to me, maybe it's the ladies that
don't download illegally! 😉
