Immuta Partners With Okta To Simplify And Secure Cloud Analytics

Immuta, a tech company that provides an automated data governance platform, has revealed its partnership with Okta, Inc., an IT company that offers identity management platforms to businesses.

The integration of the two companies aims to make identity management simple for organizations. It will also deliver secure data access in hybrid, multi-cloud, and cloud settings.

Immuta and Okta can be used together to create digital data cataloging, access management, and governance systems.

Each data client is guaranteed to access only specific data for authorized reasons while facilitating protected and compatible cooperation to optimize data efficiency and quality.

Matthew Carroll, CEO of Immuta, said, “Data-driven leaders are shifting to cloud and multi-cloud environments to tap the unique capabilities of different platforms, which creates complex data environments that can be extremely challenging to secure and protect.”

“When it comes to modern cloud analytics, every organization must not only authenticate their user base but also enforce data governance policies to ensure each user has access only to authorized data,” he added.

Ryan Naughton, Founder of The Center for New Data, said, “Our platform brings together massive amounts of sensitive data to help analysts monitor the critical policy issues of the day, from the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 to the role of long lines in equitable access to voting.”

Naughton shared that Immuta and Okta integration lets them “confidently authenticate a diverse set of users and authorize different levels of analyses while preserving privacy and ensuring compliance with regulations and contractual data rights.”

“Due to the incredibly sensitive nature of our data, we needed a robust identity management solution that extends authorization not just to the c level, but to the row-, column-, and cell-level,” he added.

Immuta has also secured financing from Okta Ventures. The fund supports further product development and combined go-to-market efforts targeted at the increasingly rising cloud-based analytics market.

Monty Gray, Okta’s SVP Corporate Development, said, “At Okta, we aim to empower any organization to seamlessly and securely use the best technologies for their business.”

“Immuta’s fine-grained approach to data security and access control enables organizations to take securing their data and cloud analytics a step further. We’re excited to be investors in Immuta and to provide tremendous value to our joint customers handling sensitive data.”

Okta Integration Network has now made the Immuta integration available for interested organizations. A demo can be requested from Immuta to discover more about the product.
