Microsoft brings Personal Shopping Assistant to Edge

Microsoft is going to offer its Personal Shopping Assistant extension, that should assist in comparing and purchasing items for the lowest price, also to the Edge browser. Previously the Redmond software giant also made the extension available for Chrome and Opera.

The Personal Shopping Assistant extension is already in the Windows Store but it can't be downloaded yet. According to the description it should be able to store products, give price alerts and compare products on thousands of shopping sites around the world. Information is stored on Microsoft's servers so it can be used on other devices as well.

In the future the extension should get more features, according to the description in the Windows Store. These will include a shopping board feature to organize products and the ability to chat with an assistant from 'your favorite messaging app', as Microsoft writes.

The company previously made the extension available for Chrome and Opera, but its Edge browser wasn't supported yet. Edge didn't support extensions until the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Because Edge extensions are pretty much compatible with those of Chrome, it was expected Microsoft would also bring its Personal Shopping Assistant extension to Edge anytime soon.
