Microsoft reveals Windows 10 Creators Update will be followed by Redstone 3 Update later this year

Microsoft will release another large update to Windows 10 this year after the the large update for the OS that is scheduled for April. The company confirmed this during its Microsoft Ignite-event in Australia.

In April the Windows 10 Creators Update will be released that brings many new changes including a totally revamped Paint 3D and out-of-the-box support for Virtual Reality glasses.

The update scheduled for later this year is codenamed Redstone 3 and will target the user interface of Microsoft's latest operating system. The company plans to make Windows 10's user interface more consistent, simplistic and will add more animations to the OS.

With Windows 10 Redstone 3 the OS should also become ready to support Microsoft's augmented reality glasses HoloLens.

The Redmond software giant hasn't released any information of the expected release data of the Redstone 3 Update but our quess would be somewhere in Q4 this year. The Creators Update (Redstone 2) is scheduled for April.
