Mozilla releases emergency patch for Firefox due Google Maps issues

Mozilla has released an emergency patch for Firefox because of an issue that causes Google Maps to render incorrectly. Firefox 37.0.2 is released 17 days after Firefox 37.0.1. The patch also brings stability fixes for select graphics hardware and feature sets.

Also a security issue that caused memory corruption during failed plugin initialization has been fixed. This issue has been marked "high", meaning that such a vulnerability can be used to gather sensitive data from sites in other windows or inject data or code into those sites, requiring no more than normal browsing actions.

Updating to 37.0.2 can be done by downloading it from the Mozilla website or by the automatic update feature.
