Mozilla releases Firefox 38 beta with reading list mode

Mozilla has released a beta version of Firefox 38 with a feature called “Reading List”, which makes it possible to save e.g links to articles to read them later. The company also changed the preferences menu of the browser.

The latest beta of Firefox, version 38, was released yesterday. According to the release notes the browser now has support for a reading list, a feature also offered by Apple’s Safari for some time already and which will also be part of Microsoft’s upcoming browser codenamed “Spartan”.

Firefox 38 also introduces a new preferences menu which is now based on tabs. The new test version also comes with a new option to share tabs and windows through Mozilla’s video chat service Hello.

The beta of Firefox 38 has been released close after Firefox 37 was released earlier this week. This version introduced Heartbeat, an user rating system and opportunistic encryption of HTTP traffic.
