Mushkin announces Atom flash drive - smaller than a quarter

Mushkin has introduced the new Atom flash drive. This USB 3.0 flash drive comes in a small form-factor, according to Muskin it's smaller than a quarter and consumes little energy. The drive is, like all USB 3.0 devices backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1.

Mushkin specifies the 8GB model at speeds of 80MB/s read, 5.5MB/s write while it consumes 0.65W while idle and 0.905W at load. The 16GB flash drive achieves reads at 155MB/s and writes at 11.5MB/s  and consumes 0.25W idle and 0.67W at load. The 32GB model reads at 155MB/s with 21.5MB/s write, and has a power consumption of 0.2475W when idle and 0.75W under load.

The 8GB model is available at Newegg for $9.99, the 16 GB model is $15.99 and the 32GB Atom sets you back $24.99. All come with a two year warranty.
