Nvidia hotfix should solve excessive virtual memory consumption in Windows 10

Nvidia has released a hotfix that should solve an issue where Windows 10 consumed excessive amounts of virtual memory. The issue appears to be so serious that the released fix only solves this specific issue.

Windows 10 users with a Scalable Linkable Interface (SLI) setup are affected by the issue. A SLI setup allows for multiple video cards in a system and in Windows 10 such a setup consumes excessive amounts of virtual memory, according to Nvidia. The issue causes a lot of disc activity resulting in a decreased performance of the system.

Geforce 335.80 hotfix should solve this issue for and will become part of the next WHQL release.

The release of Windows 10 went smooth for most users but on some systems the upgrade caused driver issues. Sony already recommend Vaio owners to wait for the upgrade and many other computer vendors support the OS only on selected models.
