Orico launches 4-slot USB3/eSATA dock for 4 HDDs

Anyone with an external SATA HDD dock is well aware of the convenience of slotting in a bare HDD like a games console cartridge. The one drawback is that transferring data between one or more HDDs requires slotting in one HDD, transferring the data to the PC, then replacing the HDD with the second HDD to transfer to and so on.

Orico overcomes this issue with its Quad-Bay SATA drive dock, allowing the user to slot in up to 4 drives in any combination of 2.5" or 3.5", SSD or HDD, up to 3TB capacity. Multiple drives can be read and written simultaneously. The dock features both USB 3.0 and eSATA (3.0 Gbps) connectivity, measures 142 x 217 x 80 mm and weighs 964g (2.1 lbs).

The unit is hot-swap capable, when means there is no need to power down the unit to remove a drive. It includes LED status/activity indicators for each LED. Its retail package is bundled with a USB 3.0 cable and an eSATA cable.
