Ouch! Apple required to put up notice: 'Samsung didn't copy us'

One might wonder if the legal department of Apple is bigger than their actual R&D, as Apple has been very busy suing other companies to protect their patents. In a recent lawsuit in the United Kingdom, Apple accused Samsung  of copying designs and technology in their mobile devices.  Apple lost the case and today we learned they have to rectify.

Besides putting up a notice on their British website for six months, Apple also needs to pay for advertisements in the Financial Times, the Daily Mail and the Guardian Mobile magazine which all should say that Samsung didn't copy them. This way Apple is pretty much providing free advertisements for Samsung.

During the lawsuit the judge already mentioned that the design of the Samsung devices couldn't be compared to Apple devices as they werent "not as cool". Similar lawsuits are also being fought in the Netherlands, Germany and the United States.
