Public beta of CloneBD released

After CloneCD and CloneDVD, Elby has nearly finished development of the Blu-ray movie copy software CloneBD. The software with a beaver as mascotte (instead of the sheep for CloneCD and CloneDVD), can be used to copy your unprotected Blu-ray discs to all known disc formats such as ISO or BD and all kind of devices like smartphones and tablets.

The software has been in development for a long time already and was in closed beta until yesterday when the first public beta was released.

Besides the ultimate joy of having a beaver giving you instructions on how to complete your task, the software supports coping Blu-ray disc 1:1 or partial to hard drive or blank BD-disc, selecting audio tracks/languages and subtitle languages, Compressing BD-50 to a single BD-25, BD-9 or BD-5 and converting Blu-ray content into common file formats like MP4, MKV etc.

The software supports all regions (A,B,C), has easy title selection with the included Blu-ray preview player and doesn't require a driver as it has a UDF 2.50 parser included. To get the best possible performance, multi-core CPUs and NVIDIA CUDA hardware acceleration are supported.

If you want to try it then download the public beta here and discuss it on our special CloneBD Forum.

There's just one question remaining, how are we going to call that beaver?
