OCZ RevoDrive x2 PCIe SSD arrives at MyCE

One of the great things about being involved with MyCE and the review team is being able to get hold of new exciting technology.

We have been covering SSDs here on MyCE for a couple of years now, and it has been fun watching SSD technology get faster, more reliable, more plug and play, and even the price starting to come down.

Of course, when something special arrives here at my review suite that really does break the mould, then things start to get really exciting. Just a couple of days ago, the OCZ RevoDrive x2 landed here.

The RevoDrive x2 is a PCIe x4 card with onboard SSD. Breaking away from SATA and instead using the very much faster PCIe bus allows manufacturers to design and build extreme SSDs. The OCZ RevoDrive x2 is most certainly extreme.

I will be conducting a full review of the OCZ RevoDrive x2 in the coming days, but here is a sneak look at the RevoDrive x2.

Let’s take a quick look at how it performs

Pretty impressive stuff.
Let’s wait for the full review in the coming days.
