The S8 series includes three monitors: the S80A, which includes 27-inch and 327-inch versions, and the S80UA, which is a 27-inch display. All have a UHD resolution, HDR10 support, and support 1.07 billion colors, as well as a 99 percent sRGB color gamut.

The S80A provides an additional USB 2.0 port to the built-in USB hub, which has three USB 3.0 ports. The S80UA has an added port, which is USB-C. It can also deliver up to 90W of power while still allowing 10Gbps data transfers.

Hyesung Ha, Samsung’s Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business, said “As demand for higher resolution monitors continues to increase, Samsung plans to continue to lead the market by unveiling new products that meet our customers’ needs.”

“Our 2021 High-Resolution lineup delivers dazzling picture quality and powers enhanced performance, all the while ensuring user comfort with a streamlined, eco-conscious design.”

The monitors are certified with Intelligent Eye Care. Adaptive Picture technology automatically controls brightness and color in response to environmental conditions. Eye-saver mode reduces blue light emissions, while Flicker-Free protects the user's eyes from any screen flickering.

With Eco Saving Plus technology, the series has also been recognized for its energy efficiency. By automatically changing the brightness of black parts while retaining vibrant picture quality, the monitor will save up to 10% on power usage.

Mark Quiroz, Samsung America’s Vice President of Marketing, said “This past year has reinforced the need for high-quality monitors that aid productivity, be it at home or in the office.”

“Knowing the need is greater than ever before, Samsung is excited to introduce this new high-resolution monitor lineup, which has been designed to satisfy the high standards of business users, as well as consumers who require the very best in performance and aesthetics.”
