SanDisk today announced the SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive, a USB flash drive featuring both a micro-USB and a USB 2.0 connector and a new USB 3.0 128GB USB drive.
The SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive is targeted at Android smartphone and tablet users who can use the micro-USB connector to connect their mobile device and the USB 2.0 connector for connecting it to the PC.
To be able to use it with an Android device it needs to support USB on the go (OTG). Both the USB ports feature a retractable cover, to avoid losing caps and to protect the connector. The USB drive also comes with a SanDisk Memory Zone Android app.
This app makes it possible to organize files stored on internal and external phone memory on which it allows viewing, copying and backing-up data. The SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive is available worldwide in 16GB to 64GB capacities carrying MSRPs of $19.99 to $49.99.
The second device Sandisk announced is the SanDisk Extreme PRO flash drive only available in a 128 GB capacity.
This USB 3.0 drive is able to achieve write speeds of up to 240 MB/s and read speeds up to 260 MB/s. The SanDisk Extreme PRO USB 3.0 flash drive is available now and in a 128GB capacity carrying an MSRP of $199.99.
