SD Association introduces 'Video Speed Class' logos

The speed of SD memory cards should soon be easier to recognize. The SD Association has introduced 'Video Speed Class' logos that more clearly shows how what speeds a memory card is able to achieve. Especially for 4K and 8K video speed has become more important.

Video Speed Class logos can be found on SDHC and SDXC cards that are currently in the UHS-I and UHS-II categories. The system works by adding the card's minimum sequential write speed to the character V. For example, a V90 card should always be able to at least sequentially write at 90MB/s.

Camera manufacturers can use the same logos on their devices to make it easy to for consumers to understand which card they should use with the device.
