Sony is entering the consumer SSD market with its SLW-M series available in capacities of 240GB and 480GB. The news comes from the Chinese website BenchLife and it's unsure whether the drives will only be for the Asian market or that they will also come to Europe and the United States.
Sony specifies maximum sequential read and write speeds of up to 560 and 530 MB/s respectively and the SSD comes win a 2.5" form factor. The drive has a height of 7mm and comes with a 9.5mm spacer, Acronis True Image 2015 and Sony SSD Toolbox software.
