Music streaming service Spotify today announced it has removed the limit for Spotify free users. Previously the service restricted the amount of free hours of listening per month after a six month grace period has passed.

This limit has now been removed for free Spotify users on all platforms. This means you can play any track as often as you want, as long as you want, on both the desktop version as mobile versions. Previously the streaming service limited free users to ten hours a month. To continue listening a subscription was required.

Last month the company announced free streaming to mobile devices with Spotify Shuffle.

The announcement comes right before the launch of competing streaming audio service Beats Music. This service will launch on the 21st of January by the company behind the popular Beats headphones.
