Toy Story 3 to offer PS3 exclusive content

It has been confirmed that the upcoming Toy Story 3 game title for the Sony PlayStation 3 game console will have mini-levels released later that will be exclusive to just the PS3.

After Sony's new Move motion controller is released later this year, Pixar's Toy Story 3 animated movie will be one of the first movies that will include upgradeable Move support.

In addition, the PS3 Toy Box mode will give gamers the chance to explore the world as Emperor Zurg, which is expected to become a popular option used by gamers.  Toy Story 3 game will also have a single-player campaign mode while Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie will be included in the new title.

No more information was released, but this is a major step forward for Sony and its partners.

These exclusive partnerships give Microsoft and Sony the ability to offer even  more content for gamers as the Xbox 360 and PS3 enter a new phase of competition.  The PS3 has trailed Xbox 360 on the sales charts since the start, but earlier in the year it was found that a $100 PS3 price cut boosted sales.

Furthermore, gamers doubtful of motion control technology will be able to test it with games they're already familiar with.  Expect similar upgrades to be introduced during E3 next month, as game studios don't want to wait for Move but still want to benefit from its upcoming release.
