WhatsApp to add voice mail for VoIP calls and to allow ZIP file sharing

WhatsApp is about to add several new features to its popular messaging app. According to information leaked by the website PhoneRadar, the app should get a new feature called 'Call Back', and also voice mail for VoIP calls and the ability to send ZIP files are new features.

The 'Call Back' feature allows users that see a missed call notification to call back by clicking a single button in the status bar without opening Whatsapp.

Another new feature will be voicemail for WhatsApp VoIP calls. According to PhoneRadar this will first be rolled out to iOS users and will make it possible to record and send a voicemail when an user is unavailable. This works with WhatsApp VoIP calls and is independent of the mobile operator.

While WhatsApp currently makes it possible to share e.g PDF files, it should soon be possible to also share ZIP files.

These new features have been spotted in beta versions of WhatsApp for Android and iOS, it's unclear when they come available to the final release of the app.
