Youtube now allows watching videos in small window while browsing the site

YouTube has released a mini video player for the desktop version of its website. With the mini-player, users can watch videos in a small window while they visit other pages on the video streaming service.

The mini-player can be activated by clicking an icon in the YouTube video they are watching. The video then moves to a small window on the bottom right of the screen, after which users can continue to browse YouTube.

In the small window it possible to play, pause and go to the next video. By clicking the title of the video in the small window, the video is shown in its regular size.

A similar small window could already been found in both the Android and iOS YouTube apps. Users can watch videos on their smartphone while they use other features of the YouTube app.
